Serving the Recreational Needs of Families Since 1948

The West Geauga Recreational Council (WGRC) provides recreational programs for children in the West Geauga and surrounding communities. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that provides a fun, safe and fair place for children to learn sports and participate in recreational activities. Our programs are open to everyone. These programs include soccer, day camp, learn-to-swim, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, and tennis.

The WGRC also has a 15 acre campsite adjacent to the West Geauga Middle School, with a heated, in-ground pool, soccer field, basketball court, sand volleyball court, play-grounds, and pavilions.

The WGRC is a completely volunteer-run organization. All programs are planned and managed by volunteers. Unlike other communities, no tax money is used to provide these services. Without our dedicated volunteers, these programs would not be available in our community. The WGRC enriches the lives of the children in our community and helps make our community a great place to live.
