Summers of fun with old and new friends are what await you at camp. What is a day at camp like? Well, here are some of things we do everyday…

Swimming: Kids enjoy swimming daily in our heated in-ground pool which is guarded by licensed lifeguards. Kids only swim with campers in their age group.

Art: Projects like tie dye, sand art, clay sculptures, and so much more. We have science days where we make great messy concoctions. We also have fun food days, where we cook delicious treats to eat and enjoy.

Sports: The sports program is designed for fun, not just for those that are athletic. Games include, volleyball, kickball, soccer, capture the flag, knockout, basketball and more. Our younger campers enjoy tag, hide and seek, playing with the parachute, duck duck goose (which on a hot day becomes drip drip drop).

Woods time: During woods time the kids can build forts, play hide and seek, capture the flag, or just let their imaginations run wild.

Middle School Camp: Every Thursday, our 6, 7, and 8th graders are off on a field trip. The event schedule will be posted soon.

Before and After Care are available.  Before Care is from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and After Care is from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

There is so much to do, come and check it out. Take advantage of our day rate and let the kids get a feel for what camp it all about. Be prepared, they will want to come back.

The Rec Council Day Camp is available for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade and is located adjacent to the West Geauga Middle School.  The campground is fifteen wooded acres with a covered pavilion, heated swimming pool, volleyball court, soccer field, basketball courts, an arts and crafts pavilion, and playgrounds.  Daily activities also include arts and crafts, sports, hiking, swimming under supervision of licensed lifeguards, special guests, and entertainment.  Middle School campers also enjoy weekly field trips.  The WGRC Day Camp is registered with the Ohio Department of Human Services as required by the Ohio Revised Code. We maintain a 6-10:1 ratio of children to counselors.  If you have questions as to whether or not your child is ready to attend camp, please consult our Camper’s Handbook, which is included in the download packet or Email the camp director with any questions.  The camp hours are weekdays from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Camp is open for 10 weeks during the summer starting June 5th and ending August 11th. Registration is available for full weeks or parents can register their children to attend camp on a per day basis.  Please consult the 2017 Daycamp Information and Registration Packet for more details and pricing information.
