The 2012 Day Camp Information and Registration Packet is now available. Click Here to download. All paid registrations postmarked on or before May 10th will receive a 5% discount. In person registration for daycamp and all of our summer programs will be held at the West Geauga Middle School on Saturday, May 12 from 9 AM- 12 Noon.
The Rec Council Day Camp is available for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade and is located adjacent to the West Geauga Middle School. The campground is fifteen wooded acres with a covered pavilion, heated swimming pool, volleyball court, soccer field, basketball courts, an arts and crafts pavilion, and playgrounds. Each session has different themes and activities to go with those themes. Daily activities also include arts and crafts, sports, hiking, swimming under supervision of licensed lifeguards, special guests, and entertainment. Middle School campers also enjoy weekly field trips. The WGRC Day Camp is for Boys & Girls Entering Kindergarten – 8th Grade and it is registered with the Ohio Department of Human Services as required by the Ohio Revised Code. We maintain a 6-10:1 ratio of children to counselors. If you have questions as to whether or not your child is ready to attend camp, please consult our Camper’s Handbook, which is included in the download packet or Email the camp director with any questions. The camp hours are weekdays from 9 AM – 3 PM. Before and After Care are available. Before Care is from 7 AM-9 AM and After Care is from 3 PM – 6 PM.
There are 5 two-week sessions to choose from. Parents may also register for half a session.
